Corkage £25wine ,£45 for champagne.
Able to do a delicious vegan meal on request.
Starter and mains I stuck to fish, smoked trout and plaice(£27). Fabulous attentive service in the private shared dinning room.
Only downside side for me was allowing the other party to have a dog in this dinning room.Pah.
A joyful experience from start to finish. Ate in the bar area as had our wee dog with us. Wonderful welcome with prompt, professional, friendly service.
The menu was exciting and varied with a combination of tastes and textures. Food was expertly cooked and beautifully presented.
The atmosphere in the inn was lovely as everyone seemed delighted to be there enjoying good food and company. A definite ‘must’ if you’re visiting the East Neuk and appreciate quality dining
Fantastic food and ambience, came here for a birthday treat and we were not disappointed. The homemade sausage was exceptional and the menu showcases the best local produce
We stopped in on our way home to Dundee for a bite to eat. Having never been here before, we didn't know what to expect. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Taking time to explain the specials and answer our questions. We both had roast chicken with lemon potatoes and aioli. There was a generous helping of chicken served on the bone, which was tender and succulent. The roast potatoes were divine, and the aioli was amazing. There were roasted tomatoes served with the sauce, which just brought a pop of sweet tanginess to the whole dish 10 out of 10. It was busy, but everything was ticking over at a nice pace and everyone seemed to be enthralled by their own dishes.
Fantastic restaurant with amazing food and great service. We showed up without a reservation but we were lucky enough and the staff kind enough to secure a table for us. But probably it is best to reserve a table upfront so you don’t miss out on this great place. They are dog friendly which is a huge plus. Highly recommended!
Wow, what a fabulous restaurant. We were staying locally and booked the restaurant a couple of weeks before our visit. So glad we did. The meal was exceptional from start to finish. I chose the Scallop starter from the specials board and Braised Lamb. Husband chose the Hake Beignets and the Grilled Pork. I had some lovely Sancerre wine which dinner and a couple of cocktails for dessert. Such a beautiful restaurant with lots of space between tables. Staff were so friendly but professionally efficient. Brilliant meal all round.
Such a nice gastropub/ restaurant. Great service and fantastic flavours all with great drinks! Thoroughly recommend!
Really lovely setting which has been decorated beautifully. The outdoor seating area looked lovely on the warm day we visited. The staff were also friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately the food did not live up to expectations.
I order the potted beef which was very bland and accompanied by rather tasteless cabbage and a hard piece of dry sourdough.
My main course was the hake, but rather than filleted it was a steak cut. This meant the outsides were all overcooked and dry. It was actually a very small amount of fish given the vertebrae and other bones were in it.
For dessert, we both had the pavlova which was on the specials menu, but this was just a very thick and crunchy meringue, rather than a gooey centred pavlova so wasn’t particularly good.
All-in-all it didn’t feel like anything that I couldn’t cook at home, which, for the price, was a bit disappointing.
